Stratton convertible powder compact, with purple lid and diamond cut flower, vintage makeup mirror, c1970
This is a lovely purple Stratton powder compact, dating to between the mid 1960s to early 1970s. The lid is a reflective purple enamel, with a gold flower design in the centre. The compact opens with a push in clasp. The base of the compact has a star design with "Stratton made in England" inscribed in the centre. This compact is convertible and can be used with loose or cream powder. The patent number, inscribed below the mirror, refers to the inner ring. This keeps the pressed powder trays in place. The black protective pouch, powder sifter and branded puff, all unused, are present.
CONDITION
🔸This vintage Stratton compact is in very good unused condition.
🔸The mirror gives a clear reflection.
🔸The hinges and clasps work as they should.
🔸The exterior gold tone and enamel are bright, with only very minor surface abrasions.
