Gwenda ladies cigarette case, c1940s or 1950s, vintage purse style cigarette holder, gold metal and floral design

This lovely, purse shaped, cigarette case is by British maker Gwenda. The company Hussey Dawson Ltd. were based in Birmingham and made compacts and cigarette cases with the Gwenda brand. This gold tone case is ridged to hold ten cigarettes with “Gwenda reg” engraved at the base. The lid is decorated on both sides with a transfer floral image. This cigarette case has a kiss lock clasp.
This case can hold twelve cigarettes, with a maximum length of just under 3” or 7.5cm.
CONDITION
🔸This Vintage Gwenda cigarette case is in good used condition.
🔸The hinge and clasp work as they should.
🔸The transfer decoration is in fairly good condition, with a number of small chips to both sides. Please see the photos.
🔸The gold tone is bright and shiny with some light tarnish, scuffs and marks. Please see the photos.
🔹The case shuts securely, but there is a gap at the edges. Please see the photos.
🔹The floral decoration has chips to the image. Please see the photos.
