This Stratton Star powder compact, dates to the 1940s, and is a rectangular shape with angled corners. It has a real engine-turned lid, with a black strip in the centre. The base has a cross hatched design. The self opening inner lid has Stratton's "compact in hand logo" engraved on it. There are various patent numbers, “Foreign patents pending” and “made in England” engraved on the mirror frame. There is also Pat no. 530653, engraved on the catch. This compact has it’s black pouch, used powder sifter and used puff.
CONDITION
🔸This Stratton Star compact is in very good used vintage condition.
🔸The hinges and clasps work as they should.
🔸The self opening inner lid mechanism works perfectly.
🔸The mirror gives a clear reflection.
🔸The gold tone is bright and shiny, with minimal scuffs, and a small mark to the lid. Please see the photos.
🔹There is a scuff to the edge of the lid and the black strip. Please see the photos.
