This gold tone Stratton compact, has a machine cut pattern that catches the light beautifully. The underside has a thin stripe and dot design with "Stratton made in England" in the centre, dating it to between the early 1970s and the late 1980s. The push-in clasp opens the compact to reveal the mirror in a wide gold tone frame. The patent number 764125 is inscribed under the mirror, and refers to the inner retaining ring. This compact was designed to be used with loose or pressed powder, and the inner ring keeps the pressed powder tray in place. This compact has it’s used powder sifter.

🔸The mirror gives a clear reflection, with some speckling across the glass.
🔸The hinges and clasps all work as they should.
🔸The gold tone is bright and shiny.
