Stratton powder compact and lipview set with purple rose, boxed !970s or 1980s lipstick holder and makeup mirror

This pretty gold tone Stratton compact and matching lipview date to the 1970s or ‘80s. The set has its original presentation box, lined with pale yellow silky fabric. The lids are decorated with a purple rose design on a white background. The base of the compact has a stripes and dots pattern, with “Stratton, made in England” engraved in the centre. This compact has its unused powder sifter, for use with loose powder, and it’s black protective pouch. “Pat. 764125” is engraved below the bevelled mirror, referring to the inner ring. This compact is convertible and, when the sifter is removed, cream powder trays cab be held in position by the inner ring. The Lipview has a clasp at the side to open the mirror. "Made in Stratton England" and "Reg. Des. No 934048", are engraved on the clips. Lipsticks of different sizes can be held by the metal clips.

CONDITION

🔸This Stratton compact and Lipview set is in very good condition.
🔸The hinges and catches work well, although the compact's inner ring catch is no longer present. Please see the photos.
🔸The mirrors are clear and give a good reflection.
🔸The gold tone areas are bright and shiny, with no marks to mention.
🔸The cardboard box is in very good condition.
🔹There are some marks to the powder compact's inner ring. Please see the photos.
🔹The catch on the compact's inner ring is missing. The ring still closes securely and the compact is perfectly usable without it. Please see the photos.
