This is a wonderful unused duo compact by Stratton, with an integrated lipstick holder. The lid of this Empress compact, is decorated with mother of pearl pieces, that catch the light beautifully. The base has a curl design that was used on Stratton's more luxurious compacts during the 1950s. The self opening inner lid has Stratton's "compact in hand logo" engraved on it, and pops open to reveal a powder sifter for use with loose powder. The lipstick holder is engraved with “Stratton No. 1”, and has the remains of the lipstick. This compact has it’s powder sifter and branded puff, both used, and black pouch.
🔸This vintage Stratton compact is in very good used condition.
🔸The hinges and clasps work as they should.
🔸The self opening inner lid mechanism works well.
🔸The mirror gives a clear reflection.
🔸The gold tone is bright and shiny, with only minor scuffs and marks.
🔸The mother of pearl pieces are in very good condition, with only very light scuffing.
🔹There is one small piece of mother of pearl missing at the hinge, by the lipstick holder. Please see the photos.
