This lovely, and unusual little powder compact probably dates to around the 1930s. It may have been a holiday souvenir of Cornwall, England. This compact is made from a silver tone metal, and is inlaid with celluloid. There is a silver Cornish pixie, leaping over a toadstool in the centre. The engine turned base has “made in England” engraved on the edge. The internal mirror is polished metal. The compact is designed to hold pressed powder, and has an empty powder tray inside.
🔸This unbranded powder compact is in good used vintage condition.
🔸The hinge and clasp work as they should.
🔸The silver tone metal is bright, with some surface abrasions and marks. Please see the photos
🔹The metal mirror has scuffs and a small dent, so doesn’t give as clear a reflection as it should. Please see the photos.
